Houston Police Release Surveillance Video in December Airport Boulevard Fatal Shooting

Houston police have released surveillance footage of a male person of interest wanted for questioning in connection to the fatal shooting of Joshua Profit, 35, at 8100 West Airport Boulevard around 10:10 p.m. on December 7, 2024.

The person of interest is described as a Black male wearing a green hoodie, black pants, and Adidas sandals. The surveillance video of this individual has been released (still image from video above) and a still image of the actual shooter, who was seen wearing a dark hoodie and a bandana covering his face.

According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective G. Zavala, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the apartment complex. They found Profit lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots and saw an unknown male suspect fleeing through the complex after the shooting. The suspect is described as a thin Black male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, dressed entirely in black.
