Houston Police Investigating Homicide After Man Found Dead Inside Little Saigon Business

HOUSTON, Texas — Houston police are investigating the death of a 54-year-old man who was found unresponsive inside a business in the city’s Little Saigon area Friday afternoon.
According to the Houston Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 12:05 p.m. on May 8 to a shopping center in the 10500 block of Bellaire Boulevard.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Lovelace and M. Althaus said a co-worker became concerned after being unable to contact the victim and went to the business to check on him.
The co-worker entered the business and found the victim unresponsive on the floor, according to investigators.
Houston police officers and personnel with the Houston Fire Department responded to the scene, where the man was pronounced dead.
Authorities identified the victim as 54-year-old Chun Chen.
Investigators said Chen had suffered apparent blunt force trauma. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences later ruled the manner of death a homicide.
Police said there is currently no known motive and no suspects have been identified.
