Houston Police Investigating Fatal Shooting at Elgin Street Apartment Complex
The Houston Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Tuesday, December 12, around 11:30 p.m. at 3719 Elgin Street.
A male believed to be in his 20s was found inside an elevator at an apartment complex.
Responding to a shooting call, HPD patrol officers were informed by security officers that they had heard multiple gunshots in the vicinity.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
The identity of the deceased is currently pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Two unidentified males, believed to be in their late teens to early 20s, were observed fleeing from the elevators and leaving the apartment complex.
At this point in the investigation, it remains unclear whether the deceased male was a victim or a suspect in a possible robbery.
