Houston Police Investigating Fatal Crash on South Loop West

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Thursday, November 2, at approximately 12:45 p.m. The incident took place at 4700 South Loop West, also known as South Interstate Highway 610 West.

The victim, a 21-year-old male, has not been officially identified pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. According to authorities, the male was operating a black Honda Accord, traveling westbound in the vicinity of the aforementioned location when the incident unfolded.

Initial reports indicate that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to slide sideways on the freeway. Subsequently, the Honda collided with a concrete shoulder barrier and rolled over. Tthe driver was ejected from the vehicle during the collision.

Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the injured male to Ben Taub General Hospital. Medical personnel at the hospital pronounced him deceased.

There were no other individuals or vehicles involved in the crash.
