Houston Police Investigate Northside Fatal Shooting

Houston Police Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at 621 Mayford Street in Northside around 1:10 a.m. on Sunday, December 24, 2023.

The victim, a 54-year-old man, was playing billiards at his residence with two acquaintances when multiple gunshots were heard. The victim’s identity is currently pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Following the incident, two Hispanic males were observed fleeing the scene in a red, four-door Nissan Maxima. Emergency services, including the Houston Fire Department paramedics, arrived at the location and pronounced the victim deceased.
