Houston Police Investigate Fatal Shooting of 19-Year-Old Man on Southwest Freeway, Two Women Injured

Police are actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at 7600 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) around 12:30 a.m. last Friday, January 26.

The deceased, a 19-year-old male, awaits official identification pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The incident came to the attention of HPD patrol officers and homicide detectives after responding to an emergency call reporting three shooting victims transported to a hospital at the mentioned address by a private vehicle.

One of the victims, a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound, was pronounced deceased on Saturday, January 27. The two female victims, aged 18 and 19, sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the leg and were treated and subsequently released.

According to preliminary findings, the victims were traveling southbound on the Southwest Freeway near Hillcroft when an unidentified suspect(s) in a gray or silver Toyota Tundra pickup truck fired shots at them.
