Houston Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in West Houston Apartment Complex

Police are currently investigating the fatal shooting of a 49-year-old man at an apartment complex located at 3030 Elmside Drive (Villas del Paseo Apartments) in West Houston. The incident was reported at approximately 7 a.m. on January 26, 2024.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Responding officers discovered the man on the ground with a gunshot wound, and Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Residents in the apartment complex reported hearing a disturbance in the courtyard and a gunshot the previous evening around 10 p.m. As of now, there is no known suspect(s) or motive in the case.
