Houston Police Investigate Fatal Shooting: Ex-Boyfriend a Person of Interest

The Houston Police Department is actively investigating the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old woman that occurred on Wednesday, January 17, at approximately 7:15 p.m. The incident took place at an apartment complex located at 3401 Dunvale Street (Turtle Pointe Apartment Homes).

Upon responding to a shooting call, HPD patrol officers discovered the victim unresponsive, with at least one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics promptly transported her to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.

The identity of the victim is currently pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Detectives are actively pursuing leads and consider the victim’s ex-boyfriend as a person of interest in the case. As of now, the ex-boyfriend has not been located or charged.
