Houston Police Investigate Fatal Crash on U.S. Highway 90 Involving Pedestrian with Dog

Houston police are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 15500 U.S. Highway 90 around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 21.

The identity of the deceased male, who was struck by multiple vehicles while walking in the roadway with a dog on a leash, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to reports, the driver of a black Nissan Altima was traveling westbound near the aforementioned address when the incident took place. The male pedestrian was first struck by the Nissan, followed by a gray Kia Sorrento and a black Honda Accord. The dog accompanying the pedestrian was unharmed.

Upon arrival at the scene, Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased. The drivers of all three vehicles involved remained at the scene and were found not to be impaired. After being questioned, they were released.

The dog was safely transported to a shelter by members of the City of Houston BARC.

The investigation into the crash is currently ongoing.
