Houston Police Investigate Death After Discovery in Vehicle Fire, Body Found in Trunk

Authorities are awaiting autopsy results in connection with the death of an individual found on Saturday morning at 14500 Nelson Street around 6:30 a.m. The identity, gender, and cause of death are currently pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The Houston Police Department (HPD) and Houston Fire Department (HFD) responded to reports of a vehicle fire on the side of the street at the specified address. Upon extinguishing the flames, HFD paramedics made a grim discovery – the body of a person in the trunk of the vehicle.
