Police Seek Public Assistance in Fatal Shooting at Apartment Complex in Southwest Houston

he Houston Police Department has released surveillance photos of a suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 44-year-old man. The incident occurred at 6503 Wanda Lane (Saint James Apartments) around 12:55 a.m. on Saturday, December 9.

The suspect, described as a Hispanic male, reportedly engaged in a verbal altercation with the victim at an apartment complex on Wanda Lane. Witnesses at the scene informed HPD patrol officers that the dispute escalated, leading to the suspect firing multiple shots at the victim.

The victim succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by Houston Fire Department paramedics who pronounced him deceased upon arrival.

Following the shooting, the suspect, accompanied by a group of individuals, fled the scene. Some fled on foot, while others departed in a black sedan.

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
