Houston Man Surrenders After Fatal Shooting in Northwest Houston

Charges have been filed against Christopher Flores, 22, in connection with the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man at 903 Shirkmere Road on Friday, November 10, around 7:50 p.m. The victim’s identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Houston Police Department (HPD) patrol officers responded to a shooting at the residence and discovered the victim lying unresponsive on the living room floor, having suffered a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The suspect, later identified as Christopher Flores, voluntarily surrendered to officers and was taken into custody without incident. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was notified, and Flores has been charged with murder for his alleged role in the shooting.
