Houston Man Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Woman and for Assaulting His Three Children
A suspect has been apprehended in connection with the fatal shooting of a 33-year-old woman at 5106 Enyart Street. 35-year-old Keith Marion Lee faces charges of murder and three counts of injury to a child in the 183rd State District Court.
The victim’s identity is awaiting verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
On December 15th at about 1:20 am, Houston Police Department (HPD) patrol officers responded to an assault call in the 5100 block of Cosby Street, in the Greater Ost/South Union area. They discovered two children, a 10-year-old female and a 4-year-old male, had requested help from a neighbor and to report a shooting. Both children exhibited signs of physical abuse.
On arrival, officers noticed a man, later identified as Keith Marion Lee, on top of a roof. They ordered him down and took him into custody.
Upon reaching the children’s residence at 5106 Enyart Street, officers found a 2-year-old boy with serious injuries and an unresponsive woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Detectives were informed that the woman was either married to or in a common-law relationship with the suspect. Additionally, the suspect is identified as the father of their three children.
Paramedics transported the children to a local hospital, where they remain in stable condition. The two younger children suffered fractures to their faces and heads.
Keith Marion Lee was questioned, charged, and subsequently taken to a local hospital for treatment of a medical condition. Upon release, he will be transported to the Harris County Jail.
