Homicide on Royal Lane
On April 3, 2023, at approximately 9:40 PM, Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2500 block of Royal Lane. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived they found a woman, Chong Sun Wargny, 53, shot inside the location. The victim was taken to a local hospital where she died.
The investigation determined the suspect, Wan Cho, 62, shot the victim after an argument. The suspect also shot at a witness as people at the scene detained him until officers arrived. The witness was not injured by the gunshot.
Cho has been charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault and was taken to the Dallas County Jail.
