Homicide Investigation Underway After Discovery of Deceased Resident in El Paso Apartment
On September 12, 2023, the El Paso Police Department swiftly responded to a distressing 911 call made from 9133 Kernel Circle. Upon arrival, officers encountered a damaged apartment door, and tragically, the individual in question was discovered lifeless inside the residence.
Preliminary investigations have unveiled that the reporting party, concerned about the lack of response to her attempts at communication with the victim, decided to visit his home. To her dismay, she found the decedent, prompting her immediate call to 911. In light of the circumstances, the Crimes Against Persons Unit has taken charge of the homicide inquiry.
The deceased has been identified as Brian Valentin Almanza, a 28-year-old resident hailing from Mission Valley in El Paso.
