Homicide Confirmed in Discovery of Deceased Woman in East Harris County

On Thursday, December 7, 2023, around 5 p.m., Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the 17600 block of Youpon Street in east Harris County following a report of a found body near the San Jacinto River. Upon arrival, investigators spoke with an individual who had come across the deceased body of 42-year-old Jessica Stabler just off the roadway in a densely wooded area.

The Institute of Forensic Science has confirmed that Ms. Stabler’s death was the result of homicide.
