High-Speed Crash on North Freeway Leaves Driver Ejected and Severely Injured
On December 27, 2024, at approximately 2:38 a.m., a white Honda Accord, driven by an unidentified black male, crashed on the 17300 block of the North Freeway main lanes. A witness reported that the vehicle was speeding and weaving through traffic before losing control. The Honda veered across all lanes, struck a tree line on the grassy shoulder, and split in half. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and came to a stop on the northbound service road. The driver sustained severe facial injuries, and positive identification is pending. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the crash.
