High-Speed Chase Ends in Arrest: Driver Apprehended After 35-Mile Pursuit Through Harris County
On February 23, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office undertook a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 22400 block of the Tomball Parkway. However, the driver, later identified as 26-year-old Jacob Wilkinson, refused to comply, prompting a high-speed pursuit spanning 35 miles and exceeding speeds of 130 miles per hour.
Despite the reckless attempt to evade authorities, Constable Deputies successfully intercepted the vehicle, leading to Wilkinson’s arrest.
“Wilkinson was taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Evading Arrest in Motor Vehicle,” stated authorities. Furthermore, Wilkinson’s bond was established at $30,000 by the 482nd District Court.
