HCSO Captures Aggravated Assault Suspect Weeks After Shooting at Woman, Two Others Detained

Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 20-year-old man linked to a shooting involving a woman he had recently begun dating, following a coordinated operation at a north Houston apartment complex.

Deputies first responded on Saturday, November 15, 2025, to the 150 block of Dominion Park Drive for a shooting call. They found a woman in her mid-20s who told investigators she had been seeing the suspect, known to her only as “Phillip” or “7,” for several weeks. She said that after she refused his demand for sex, he stepped out of his vehicle and fired a shot toward her, shattering her car window. She suffered minor injuries from the glass.

Violent Crimes Non-Fatal Shooting detectives took over the case and later identified the suspect as 20-year-old Phil Calvin Nathan. Detectives presented the case to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, which accepted a charge of Aggravated Assault – Family Member, with a Deadly Weapon.

On December 3, 2025, the HCSO Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT), with support from HCSO SWAT, VOU, K9 units, District I Crime Reduction Unit, and DPS, located Nathan at another apartment complex in the 100 block of Dominion Park. He was taken into custody without further incident and found with a stolen handgun. He now faces an additional charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Two other men inside the apartment were also arrested:
• 23-year-old Corey Deshawn Lewis: Resisting Arrest
• 25-year-old Tyrion Romalice Nathan: Hindering Apprehension

All three were booked into the Harris County Jail.
