Harris County Traffic Stop Unveils Major Drug Bust and Weapon Cache

In a routine traffic stop on January 9, 2024, a deputy from Constable Mark Herman’s Special Operations Unit pulled over a vehicle in the 13600 block of TC Jester Blvd in the Woodgate area. The driver, identified as 34-year-old Samuel McMahaon, raised suspicions as he appeared noticeably nervous and made statements related to weapons and narcotics.

Upon the arrival of a Constable K9 unit, the police dog detected the scent of narcotics emanating from the vehicle. Subsequently, a probable cause search was conducted, leading deputies to discover a significant amount of illegal substances and weapons inside the car.

Deputies uncovered 1,033 grams of Methamphetamine, along with 0.5 ounces of marijuana and two loaded handguns during the search. Samuel McMahaon was promptly arrested and taken into custody, where he was booked into the Harris County Jail.

McMahaon faces charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon. His bond has been set at $50,100.00 by the 184th District Court and County Court 2.
