Harris County Man Wanted in Fatal Shooting of Parents

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating 47-year-old Christopher Leman Jr., wanted for the capital murders of his parents, 75-year-old Christopher Leman Sr. and 73-year-old Mary Leman.

On July 11, 2025, deputies responded to a welfare check at a home in the 10500 block of Crosby Lynchburg Road in east Harris County. Deputies found both victims inside suffering from severe injuries. Christopher Leman Sr. was pronounced dead at the scene, and Mary Leman was transported to a hospital, where she died on July 13.

Investigators collected evidence and followed leads that identified Christopher Leman Jr. as the suspect. He is currently not in custody and is considered dangerous.
