Harris County Deputies Bust Major Drug Operation, Seize Weapons and Kilos of Meth and Cocaine
A yearlong investigation by Harris County Constable Alan Rosen’s Office culminated this month with the arrest of five individuals involved in one of the largest narcotics busts in the history of Precinct One. The operation, which began when two deputies noticed unusual activity at an apartment complex on Antoine Dr., has led to the seizure of significant quantities of illegal drugs and firearms.
The deputies observed more than 30 vehicles an hour driving through the parking lot, raising suspicion. This prompted an investigation, and it wasn’t long before Precinct One officers uncovered a sophisticated drug operation complete with lookouts and walkie-talkies. The Texas Department of Public Safety – Southeast Texas Region was brought in to assist with the operation, and together, they dismantled the illicit network.
Authorities seized several kilos of methamphetamine and cocaine, more than 200 pounds of marijuana, mushrooms, and heroin. In addition to the drugs, 24 firearms were confiscated, three of which were reported stolen, and several others had no serial numbers. These firearms have been sent to a ballistics lab to determine if they were used in other crimes, including potential murders.
The bust marks a significant victory for law enforcement, particularly for the two deputies whose attention to detail led to the unraveling of the operation. Thanks to their diligence, a dangerous drug network has been taken down, and numerous illicit substances and firearms have been removed from the streets of Harris County.
