Austin Police Seek Suspect in Hit-and-Run Crash on Research Boulevard

The Austin Police Department (APD) Highway Enforcement unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a hit-and-run crash on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at approximately 1:35 p.m. The incident occurred in the 8500 block of Research Boulevard SVRD northbound.

According to authorities, the suspect was driving a GMC truck when the vehicle collided with the victim’s car. After the crash, the suspect failed to stop and provide aid or contact emergency services. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision. The suspect left the scene immediately after the incident.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with an average build and medium-length hair. The suspect vehicle is a two-door white GMC truck, possibly with front-end damage from the crash. A white sticker is also reported on the rear window of the truck.
