Harris County Deputies Arrest Suspect in Murder of Repairman Found Dead Inside Home

HUMBLE, Texas — A man has been arrested and charged with murder after a repairman was found shot to death inside a northeast Harris County home Thursday night.
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the victim has been identified as 31-year-old Christopher Walsh. The suspect has been identified as 32-year-old Jaime Michael Garcia.
Deputies were initially alerted to the situation around 10:45 p.m. Thursday after Walsh’s family reported he had not returned home from work and became concerned for his safety.
Investigators learned Walsh, who worked as a repairman, had been scheduled to perform work at a residence in the 12400 block of Crathie Drive in the Balmoral subdivision.
Deputies tracked Walsh’s work truck to the residence and entered the home, where they found him suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Walsh was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an overnight investigation, Harris County Sheriff’s Office detectives charged Garcia with murder in connection with Walsh’s death.
Authorities said the motive for the shooting remains unknown.
Garcia was arrested by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) and booked into the Harris County Jail.
Sheriff Gonzalez commended patrol deputies, crime scene investigators, homicide detectives, and the VCAT unit for their work on the case.
The investigation remains ongoing.
