Harris County Precinct 8 Constable Investigators and the department’s Street Crimes Unit executed arrest warrants on April 16, 2025, stemming from a long-term investigation into My City Hemp, located at 517 El Dorado Blvd.
The investigation began after a search warrant was served at the business on February 26, 2025, resulting in the seizure of over 93 pounds of marijuana, which later tested positive for marijuana and not hemp. Delta 9 tetrahydrocannabinol, a controlled substance, was also discovered. Jason Moreno, 52, was arrested during the initial search for being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Following the lab results, arrest warrants were issued for Jason Moreno, 53-year-old Maria Moreno, and 18-year-old Kevin Moreno for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver. These warrants were executed on April 16th, leading to the arrests of Kevin and Jason Moreno. At the time of his arrest, Kevin Moreno was found to be in possession of an additional 46.81 pounds of marijuana.
Subsequent intelligence led to another search warrant for My City Hemp, where an additional 48.12 lbs. of marijuana and US currency were seized. Concurrent search warrants were also executed at a private residence in Galveston County, resulting in the seizure of 1 lb of marijuana, 7.5 lbs of Delta 9, a shotgun, and US currency.
Maria Moreno was initially wanted in connection with the investigation but has since posted bond.
