Gang Member Arrested in Robbery at Wendy’s in Spring

On January 24, 2025, at approximately 5:15 p.m., deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 2 Patrol responded to a report of a robbery in progress at the Wendy’s restaurant on Sawdust Road in Spring. The deputies arrived swiftly at the scene and apprehended the suspect, who was still in the act of committing the robbery.

The suspect, identified as Nicholas Xavier Rivas, was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Rivas, a documented gang member from Houston, Texas, is charged with felony robbery. He is currently being held on a $75,000 bond.

The quick actions of the deputies underscore the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office’s commitment to addressing violent crime. Authorities emphasized that criminal activity, particularly by gang members, will not be tolerated in Montgomery County.
