Fugitive Wanted for Assault of Pregnant Woman Arrested After Foot Pursuit in Harris County

On March 12, 2025, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Special Operations and Canine Unit responded to a tip regarding the whereabouts of 33-year-old Kendryon Dshaun Smith, a wanted fugitive charged with felony Assault of a Pregnant Person.

Upon arriving at the 5000 block of Louetta Road, deputies found Smith outside a motel, but he fled on foot as officers approached. A perimeter was quickly established, and with the help of Constable Canine “Mattress Mack,” deputies were able to safely apprehend Smith.

Smith was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for his felony warrant and an additional charge of Evading Arrest. His bond for the evading charge was set at $1,000.00 out of County Court 7.
