Suspect Arrested After Breaking Into Houston Home, Found with Large Amount of Meth

On March 13, 2025, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a disturbance in the 14000 block of Ella Blvd in Far North Houston. Upon arrival, deputies detained the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Jaime Lara.

Further investigation revealed that Lara had broken into a residence, searching for a male to fight. During the altercation, he damaged several items inside the home. Additionally, Lara was found in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine.

Lara was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on charges of Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Assault and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver. He is awaiting bond out of the 179th District Court.
