On Friday, March 8, 2024, at approximately 9:10 p.m., Midland Police responded to a rollover crash in the 2400 block of North Loop 250 service road, resulting in five individuals being rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital.

According to Midland Police Department officers, a 2001 GMC Yukon traveling east on the Loop 250 south service road between Garfield Street and “A” Street lost control, causing the vehicle to roll multiple times and ejecting several occupants.

“The driver (of the Yukon) failed to control speed, causing (the Yukon) to roll multiple times and ejecting several subjects from the vehicle,” MPD reported.

Three of the occupants, aged between 16 to 22 years old, were listed in critical condition, as per MPD’s later report. Authorities have stated that both speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the rollover incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
