Kline Harris

A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 36-year-old man that occurred on April 3, 2025, in the 2800 block of Broadmead Drive.

The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Kline Harris, is charged with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon in the 338th State District Court.

Houston Police Department (HPD) Homicide Division Detectives reported that officers responded to a shooting call at the Broadmead Drive address and found the victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics but succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Initial witness statements indicated that an unknown Black male, appearing to be in his 20s, shot the victim and fled on foot. However, further investigation identified Kline Harris as the suspect. Harris was arrested without incident last Friday, April 4, and booked into the Harris County Jail.
