The child, following medical care, was discharged from the hospital and placed under the care of Child Protective Services (CPS).

On April 5, 2024, the father, identified as 28-year-old Chase May, was apprehended in Houston, Texas, by MOCONET Detectives. May was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where he faces charges of Endangering a Child, alongside an additional charge of Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
