Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash Under Investigation in Harris County
On February 16, 2024, at around 1:13 AM, a fatal single-vehicle crash occurred in the 13900 block of Beechnut Street in Harris County. According to authorities, Kehinde Abimbola was driving a 2008 Lexus IS 250 westbound in the outside lane when the incident took place.
Abimbola reportedly failed to maintain control of the vehicle, veering out of the marked lane and rotating counter-clockwise across the inside lane. The vehicle struck the inside curb and a large tree before continuing its rotation onto the grassy median. The car rolled onto its right side, striking the roof, and finally came to rest against another large tree.
Abimbola sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is currently investigating the incident.
