Fatal Single Vehicle Accident Claims Two Lives in McAllen

In the early hours of December 29, 2023, tragedy struck as McAllen Police Officers responded to a single vehicle accident in the vicinity of 12th Street and W. Pecan Blvd. The incident occurred at approximately 2:04 AM, involving a vehicle traveling westbound on W. Pecan Blvd.

The driver, identified as 22-year-old Daniel Guadalupe Saenz from McAllen, Texas, lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a collision with a pole. Both Saenz and his passenger, 40-year-old Nathan Gower Schwarz from Pharr, Texas, suffered injuries and were swiftly transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment.

Unfortunately, despite efforts to save them, both Saenz and Schwarz succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

The McAllen Police Department is currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fatal motor vehicle accident.
