Fatal Shooting on Preston Road Under Investigation by Dallas Police
On the evening of August 26, 2023, at approximately 8:20 p.m., Dallas Police were dispatched to the 13700 block of Preston Road in response to a shooting incident. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered an individual inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.
Tragically, the victim succumbed to the injury and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed, pending an evaluation by the Medical Examiner’s office.
The initial stages of the investigation have revealed that law enforcement officers responded swiftly to the incident. The ongoing investigation is being documented under case number 154176-2023, as authorities work to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
