Fatal Shooting Occurs at Downtown Houston Warehouse Party
Houston police are currently investigating a fatal shooting that took place at 1100 Providence Street around 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, October 14. The incident resulted in the death of a 20-year-old man, whose identity is awaiting confirmation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to authorities, HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at a warehouse where a party was underway at the specified address. Their investigation revealed that the victim had engaged in an altercation with individuals at the location. The man was shot and killed while attempting to recover property that had allegedly been stolen from him.
Houston Fire Department paramedics rushed to the scene and transported the injured victim to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
In addition to the deceased victim, another male was found to have sustained gunshot wounds. He was also promptly transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. His injuries are considered minor, and he is expected to recover.
As of now, no descriptions of the suspect(s) involved in the shooting have been provided by law enforcement.
