Fatal Shooting Investigation Underway in Southeast Houston

Houston Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Wednesday (May 22) at 5899 Bellfort Avenue in Southeast Houston around 4:20 a.m. The victim, a 22-year-old man, was found unresponsive on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. As of now, there is no known motive or suspect(s) in the case.
