Fatal Shooting in Northwest Harris County Under Investigation Following Altercation

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, at approximately 3:00 AM, deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to a weapons disturbance call in the 23000 block of Bauer Hockley Rd in northwest Harris County. Upon arrival, deputies discovered an adult male, approximately 42 years old, unresponsive from apparent gunshot wounds. EMS personnel arrived on scene and, after performing life-saving measures, pronounced the male deceased.

Investigators learned that the victim had been involved in a physical altercation with his girlfriend. During the dispute, the girlfriend contacted her brother, who arrived at the scene shortly thereafter. The situation escalated when the victim and the girlfriend’s brother got into another altercation, which ultimately led to the victim being shot multiple times.

Both the victim’s girlfriend and her brother remained at the scene until deputies arrived.

HCSO Homicide and Crime Scene investigators took over the investigation, and based on the information gathered, they contacted the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. The case has been referred to a Harris County grand jury for further review.
