Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on Houston’s South Loop West Under Investigation
A fatal crash is currently under investigation by the Houston Police Department, following an incident at 3000 South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West) around 3:50 a.m. on November 15.
The victim, a 37-year-old female, has yet to be officially identified pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The tragic incident occurred on the main lanes of the freeway, where the woman was struck by an unknown make or model vehicle. Shockingly, the driver failed to stop and offer any medical assistance to the injured party.
Emergency response teams from the Houston Fire Department swiftly arrived at the scene, but despite their efforts, the female was pronounced deceased.
As of now, there is no available information on the vehicle involved or a description of the suspect.
The investigation is ongoing.
