Fatal Crash on North Shepherd Drive Under Investigation by Houston Police

Houston Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early this morning at 5400 North Shepherd Drive around 2:10 a.m. The victim, a 58-year-old woman, has not yet been officially identified by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to reports, a white Chevrolet Traverse was heading southbound near the mentioned location when it veered off the road, colliding with a concrete slab between two businesses. The vehicle then traversed across a parking lot before finally coming to a halt in the middle of Donovan Street.

Emergency services from the Houston Fire Department swiftly responded to the scene. Sadly, paramedics pronounced the female driver deceased upon arrival.

Initial investigations suggest that the woman may have experienced a medical emergency prior to the accident.
