Fatal Crash Investigation Unfolds After Collision on Alief Clodine Road

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred earlier today in the 12800 block of Alief Clodine Road around 9:35 a.m. The identity of the deceased individual, who was driving a red Ford Mustang, is being withheld pending notification to their family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to authorities, the Mustang was traveling eastbound on Alief Clodine at the aforementioned location when a white Toyota Sienna van, traveling westbound, attempted to make a left turn onto South Pinesap Drive without yielding the right of way. As a result, the Toyota collided with the Mustang, causing it to strike the curb on the south side of the roadway.

The driver of the Mustang was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital – Texas Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead. A male passenger from the Mustang was also taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the Toyota sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital – Katy.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
