Fatal Collision in Crosby Leaves One Dead and Several Injured

A tragic accident occurred on Saturday, February 10, 2024, around 11:49 PM.

Serapio Ruiz was driving a white 2010 Ford Escape out of a private driveway at 12016 Crosby Lynchburg Road in Crosby, Texas, heading west. Simultaneously, Francisco Chavez was driving a blue 2011 Nissan Versa northbound in the 12000 block of Crosby Lynchburg.

The Ford Escape failed to yield right of way and collided with the Nissan Versa. All occupants of both vehicles sustained injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals. Mr. Ruiz was pronounced deceased at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital at 12:55 AM.

The investigation is ongoing by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
