Drunk Woman Causes Two Crashes in Spring Attempting to Flee

On January 29, 2024, Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a vehicle crash in the 1400 block of Spring Stuebner Road.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered that the at-fault driver had fled the scene, subsequently causing another crash shortly thereafter.

Constable Deputies successfully located the suspect vehicle, leading to the identification of the driver as 36-year-old Loretta Turya.

Turya exhibited multiple signs of intoxication, prompting deputies to administer Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. The results indicated that she was indeed intoxicated.

Following the assessment, Turya was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. She now faces charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Stop and Give Information. Her bond has been set at $200.00 out of County Court 7.
