Drunk Hit-and-Run Driver Apprehended After Fleeing Scene in Humble

On February 1, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a vehicle crash in the 9400 block of FM 1960 Bypass Road West in Humble, Texas. While providing aid to one of the vehicles involved, the at-fault driver fled the scene.

Deputies pursued the suspect and apprehended him.

The driver was identified as 44-year-old Mario Sanchez, who exhibited signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted, confirming his state of intoxication. Further investigation revealed that Sanchez had two previous DWI convictions on his record.

As a result, Mario Sanchez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on charges of Driving While Intoxicated 3rd offense.
