Drone and Ladder Truck Used to Arrest Man on Roof of Spring Business
SPRING, Texas — On August 4, 2025, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a reported burglary in progress at a business in the 3800 block of FM 2920 at the intersection with Falvel Rd in Spring.
Witnesses told deputies that a man had climbed onto the roof of the business. Deputies deployed a drone, confirming the suspect’s presence on the roof. The Spring Fire Department was called to assist, and using a ladder truck, authorities safely brought the man down.
The suspect was identified as 26-year-old Charles Files. He was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on a charge of Criminal Trespass. His bond was set at $100 by County Court.
