Driver Found Asleep in Moving Lane of Traffic Arrested for DWI and Multiple Warrants

On December 2, 2023, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a concerning situation in the 25900 block of the Tomball Parkway. The response was prompted by reports of a male individual found passed out in a vehicle, which was positioned in a lane of moving traffic.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the driver, identified as 26-year-old Brandon Garrett, sound asleep behind the wheel. Subsequent interaction with Garrett revealed multiple signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted, leading to the determination that he was operating the vehicle while under the influence.

Further investigation unveiled that Garrett was already out on bond for a previous charge of Driving While Intoxicated. Additionally, it was revealed that he had an active Felony Warrant for Larceny issued in Fort Bend County, along with two outstanding Misdemeanor Warrants.

In light of these findings, Brandon Garrett was taken into custody and subsequently booked into the Harris County Jail.
