Driver Dies After Crashing Into Utility Pole in Northwest Houston, Tried to Avoid Dog
A fatal crash occurred early Thursday morning, November 28, 2024, in the 13500 block of FM 529 in Houston, Texas. Around 12:52 a.m., Joeramon Janas was driving his silver 2007 Toyota Tacoma westbound when he swerved to avoid a dog in the roadway. In attempting to correct his path, Janas veered off the road, striking a utility pole and overturning the vehicle.
First responders found Janas unresponsive inside his truck, and he was pronounced dead by Cy-Fair Medics at approximately 1:03 a.m. The incident is still under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
