Deputies Thwart Catalytic Converter Theft at Auto Nation Dealership, Three Suspects Apprehended

On January 23, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office swiftly responded to a reported theft at the Auto Nation Dealership in the 21000 block of the North Freeway. The incident involved three males actively stealing catalytic converters.

Upon arrival, the deputies caught the suspects in the act and successfully apprehended them. The individuals were identified as 25-year-old Derrick Mouton, 18-year-old Michael Harper, and 18-year-old Deonte Norman.

Further investigation revealed that Derrick Mouton was already out on bond for Catalytic Converter Theft and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. Additionally, Michael Harper was also out on bond for Catalytic Converter Theft.

Derrick Mouton, Michael Harper, and Deonte Norman were subsequently arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. They are now facing charges of Catalytic Converter Theft. As of now, their bond has not been set by the 180th District Court.
