Deputies Respond to Threats at McDonald’s Drive-thru, Arrest Pair with Outstanding Warrants

On January 9, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a disturbance at a McDonald’s Restaurant located in the 100 block of E Richey Road in the Northpark Central area. The incident involved a male, identified as 25-year-old Gill Anderson, who was threatening to assault employees through the drive-thru window.

Upon the deputies’ arrival, they located Gill Anderson and his companion, 24-year-old Taja Ruffin, who were causing the disturbance. Both individuals were detained and identified. Employees at the McDonald’s reported feeling fearful for their safety due to Gill Anderson’s actions and verbal threats.

Further investigation revealed that Gill Anderson had multiple Class C warrants through Justice of the Peace 4-1, as well as a Felony Forgery Warrant through Walker County. Subsequently, both Gill Anderson and Taja Ruffin were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail.

Gill Anderson faces charges of Terroristic Threat and received a $100.00 bond from County Court 3. Taja Ruffin was booked for the open warrants against her.
