Deputies Apprehend Two Suspects in Mail Theft and Drug Possession Incident
On January 23, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a disturbance in the 26200 block of the Northwest Freeway involving two suspects. Upon arrival, one suspect, identified as 23-year-old Cody Palanco, attempted to flee on foot but was quickly detained by pursuing officers. The female suspect, identified as 33-year-old Tarah Hill, was also present.
Upon further investigation, both suspects were found to be in possession of multiple sets of keys used to open community mailboxes. Additionally, Tarah Hill was found in possession of 2.39 grams of Methamphetamine.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Hill was currently out on a $25,000.00 bond for Possession of a controlled substance with Intent to Deliver and a $100.00 bond for Theft.
Subsequently, Cody Palanco was charged with Evading with previous convictions, Mail Theft, and Unlawful Use of Criminal Instrument. Tarah Hill faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Mail Theft, and Unlawful Use of Criminal Instrument.
Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. They are now awaiting bond hearings at the 176th District Court.
