Deputies Apprehend Suspects After Pursuit Ends in Collision with House

On May 14, 2024, deputies from Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle in the vicinity of the 4700 block of Glendower Lane. The driver of the vehicle declined to comply, prompting a pursuit by deputies. The pursuit concluded when the vehicle crashed into an unoccupied house in the 5000 block of Purple Wisteria Lane in Spring. The occupants then fled on foot.

Law enforcement established a perimeter, leading to the safe apprehension of the suspects. The driver was identified as Dezmond Washington, who was previously out on bond for Criminal Mischief and Evading from an incident on May 12, 2024, along with a separate bond for Assault. Additionally, a juvenile was identified as the passenger.

Washington has been taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail. He faces charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Felony Evading, with bond and court details pending. The juvenile, charged with Criminal Trespass and Evading on foot, was released to guardians.
